Co-Products

Microalgae are comprised of lipids, carbohydrates and proteins. Solix is currently using a species of algae in commercial production that is roughly 40% oil by dry weight. The remaining oil not used in fuel production, as well as the residual carbohydrates and proteins, can be refined into useful co-products.
