Our Technology
Solix’s AGSTM Technology is low-cost, adaptive and scalable.

Our cutting-edge AGSTM Technology enables producers to minimize capital investments, achieve low processing costs, avoid the use of food crop feedstocks, and minimize the consumption of valuable resources like water and land when producing biocrude.
Our AGSTM Technology incorporates applications for biofuel production and carbon mitigation, as well as the potential production of ethanol, methane, hydrogen and chemical intermediates. The AGSTM Technology is a photo-bioreactor that houses closed-growth chambers that support the monoculture growth of microalgae in commercial application. It is designed to be species agnostic, enabling producers to optimize yields regardless of the algal strains used and climatic conditions encountered.
Designed to facilitate optimum illumination levels, the chamber design of our AGSTM Technology allows for five-times the surface level exposure to sunlight compared with open-pond systems. Controlled turbulence within the chamber circulates the algae to maximize time within the relevant field of photosynthetic activity, leading to higher yields of algae growth.
In addition, AGSTM Technology facilities are best located in proximity to a large CO2 source where there is an ample amount of sunlight. As part of the photosynthesis process, the microalgae in our AGSTM Technology consume certain greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2 and NOX, helping to mitigate a global concern.
