Green Diesel, also known as renewable diesel, is chemically identical to traditional diesel fuel. Green Diesel can be produced from a variety of feedstocks, including both animal and vegetable sources. Green Diesel is produced through a thermo-chemical process that removes oxygen atoms from the biocrude’s carbon chain.
